The AAA plans, coordinates and develops a comprehensive service delivery system for the elderly in a 12 county area. The AAA contracts state and federal funds for aging programs through a network of senior centers and other community agencies. The agencies and the AAA are focal points for services. The AAA also advocates for the elderly and provides technical assistance, training and contract monitoring.

Services are available to homebound persons who are 60 years of age or older upon completion of an assessment.
|

Clients are not charged a fee for services. Donations and cost sharing are encouraged to help maintain the program.

Programs sponsored by the AAA include: Care Management, Home and Community Based Waiver, Long Term Care Ombudsman, TRIAD, Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP), Information and Assistance, Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent Programs, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Senior Community Service Employment Program. Contracted Services include: Adult Day Services, Congregate and Home Delivered Meals, Elder Abuse Prevention, Health Education/Disease Prevention, Medication Management, national Family Caregiver Support Program, Outreach, Personal Care, Respite Care, Senior Center Staffing and Telephone Reassurance.
